Project leader of the Bronzeville Cookin’ initiative that includes Boxville, Green Line Farm, Bronzeville Community Garden, the Incubator, Jerk Shack, and more, this Bronzevillian leads the effort to combine public and private resources to re-imagine and re-build community on 51st.
Fashionista, collector, and operations manager, Kaaron imbues everything she does with her unique combination of style, commitment, and grit. Boxville lead, social media, and Boxville Ice are some of her many contributions to Boxville.
A lifelong entrepreneur, this Hyde Park native is the force behind Leaders1354, the global brand at the epicenter of Chicago streetwear. After starting his first business 20 yrs ago in Bronzeville, he is returning with Friistyle, Belgian-style pommes frites (french fries) and so much more.
As Operations Manager at Green City Market she led the effort to bring top quality fresh produce to Boxville. As core team member at Boxville she has been a key to connecting us to other culture-based community revitalization efforts in Chicago and beyond.
When he’s not spinning for Estelle globally, this 51st Street resident and entrepreneur is generating the beat that drives Boxville, developing the musical performance initiatives that will engage Bronzeville youth, and plotting his next culinary venture.

The dynamic Bronzeville duo behind SolQuest Design leaves no stone unturned - in Toronto, Brixton, and beyond - to hone the design chops leading to Boxville’s community-embracing layout, popping colors, and vendor-friendly shading. We ignore their edicts at our peril.
The opportunity to support social uplift brought him to Bronzeville and to building the BikeBox and Boxville “1.0". His 50+ years of wisdom from carpentry and life and willingness to give and give some more makes him a key factor in everything we do.
Stage carpenter extraordinaire, Mike uses his breaks from the ever-changing movie and TV production business to build things that last on 51st. A banana pudding that blew away the team is just one hint to another key facet of his game.
Current UofC undergrad and lead of the Neighborhood Square programs, Ashley works alongside the Boxville team to build opportunities to engage with the community, bringing her NOLA roots and passion for community revitalization.
Recent Marist graduate and current Harold Washington College attendee, Marshall joined the Boxville team and brought his experience in theater and love of performance and music to help manage youth Neighborhood Square programs.
